Once you start marbleizing you're not going to want to stop. I started with one marble ornament and it turned into a rainbow! This fun activity will allow you to get hands-on this holiday season and create a craft that is chic enough to gift!

Here is what you will need to make this ornament:
- Clear plastic ornament with detachable metal cap
(you can also use glass)
-Acrylic pouring paint
(this is pre-mixed pouring paint)
- Disposable table cover
(to protect your table or counter from any paint)
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Mason Jar or cup filled with water

Directions:
Pour a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol into your ornament to prep the surface. Make sure you swirl it around to coat the entire bulb.
Let air dry for at least 30 mins with cap off
Select colors that you want to marble with. Selecting three colors is ideal. We selected a metallic finish as our third color choice in all of the rainbow marbleized ornaments we created. This gives the ornament a hint of sparkle
Pour your first paint into the bulb. You will only need a little bit to coat the bottom
Take your second paint and pour into side of bulb. Be sure to rotate the bulb around to swirl the paint around and coat the sides
Once your bulb is 3/4 covered in paint turn it on its side and pour in the third color of paint slowly. Be sure not to over pour. You will notice that paint is starting to marbleize. With a good amount of paint in the bulb, you should now be able to coat the rest of the inside of the bulb by slowly rotating the bulb around.
Once the bulb is fully covered and to your satisfaction, turn it upside down and let it sit face down into the mason jar. This will let the access paint pours out and into the water below. Leave the bulb upside down for 15 minutes.
Take the ornaments and store them in a location to dry and ventilate.
Leave ornaments to dry for 8 hours (over night is best)
Pro Tips:
Make sure your ornaments are fully dried and any access paint has been removed otherwise the paint will evaporate.
You can spray a sealer into the bulb if you want to make sure the ornament is sealed. To do this, spray the sealer into the bulb and let air dry for an additional 15 minutes. See recommendation below.
